Devices

The Devices page shows you all devices that have had the TruChecks software installed on and connected to your account. Account connection occurs when a user logs into the software using the username and password supplied by your company.

From this page, you can view the Device Identifier, Device Name, If the device is Locked, The Default Template the device will use, Last Connection time and date. Data can be sorted and filtered as previously discussed.

Once a device has been auto-added you have several options that you can set against it. To access these options, click on the Edit Device button . The screen will now display the details for this chosen device

This allows you to change the Device Name from the default (Auto Added Device followed by the Device Identifier no) to something more descriptive to yourself (Fred’s phone, Vehicle Registration etc.). You can also change the Default Template that the device will open with by selecting the correct one from the drop-down list.

If you set the tick box against Is Locked this will lock the software so that it cannot connect back to the TruChecks server again until you unlock it. This would be used in the event of a misplaced or stolen device.

Once you are happy the settings are correct at the bottom of the screen is the Save button  you can also click the Cancel button  if you do not wish to save these changes. Both these actions will return you to the Devices main page.

The last action on this page is the ability to delete a device, this will cause the user to have to log back into the device if they wish to use the software again, it will not stop the device being used again only locking a device can do this.
